History was made in the year 1967 when Sir Ozwell Spencer founded Umbrella Chemical Incorporated.

He founded this company on what he called the three E's: effective, efficient, and economical. His goal was to create a company that provided the world with pharmaceuticals that were both affordable and capable of preventing future relapses of particular ailments.

Since then, the name has changed to Umbrella Pharmaceuticals to better represent the purpose this company was founded on many decades ago.

In 1991, Umbrella Inc. funded the building of a brand new hospital and the reconstruction of a municipal building in Raccoon City. This is one of many accomplishments in community service excellence that Umbrella Inc. has achieved. Other projects include special funding for under-funded hospitals world wide, community clean-up programs, as well as intern programs and grants for community college students entering at university level.

Sir Spencer believed in making good medicine for all people of all walks of life, because our business is life itself.
